India is always known for its friendly nature and amicable relationship with other nations. And with the motive of expanding and encouraging its neighborhood first policy India has taken many initiatives. Recently by sticking to their words, India is now providing training of sailing to the Qataris officers.
The training is provided by INS Tarangini, which is a training ship and it is provided to 6 Qatari officers of Navy on its own voyage course from Muscat to Doha. The commander and captain of the ship Rahul Mehta said that “Tarangini is a sailing training ship and we are around 30 people for providing the training. We got a very good experience while giving them training and we sailed with them from Muscat to Doha. In this training, they got to know about the things that we do in the Indian Navy. The outcome of the training was fruitful and they would have gained a lot.”
The INS was docked at the port of Doha and is on a 3-day maiden journey to Qatar and in the early morning on Tuesday it will leave Qatar. One team of Qatari officers of Navy made a visit to the ship on Sunday for attending the familiarization event where Captain Kapil Kaushik was also present. He said that “they will be conducting several training activities for navies of both the countries and we will be looking forward to strengthening bilateral relations. We are also looking forward to enhancing the cooperation between both the countries in maritime.
While the training was going on the weather remained very pleasant and no difficulties were faced while training. The INS Tarangini is a huge training ship which is well known for its various successful operations. The ship has 40 sailors and 8 officers and can accommodate around 40 cadets for training.
